On Friday 29 and Saturday 30 June, Mill Hill town centre will be hosting the ‘On Broadway’ Summer Festival.  This vivacious, music-filled event will run from 1pm to 8pm each day in the recently completed Town Square and on Mill Hill Broadway from Santander bank, continuing up to Mill Hill Wines. The Festival is the perfect place to stop for a drink from the bar and bite to eat from one of the many tempting food stalls, while shopping on the Broadway and among the Festival vendors.

The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Meet Your Neighbours’ – and this community event, now in its third year, provides the perfect opportunity. Join us for two days of non-stop live performances on stage in the Town Square, with music spanning the genres from acoustic to jazz to rock n’ roll and beyond. Local talents including Drop Pink, Rad Fax, Simply Grey, and Bossa Bandits will be returning to the Town Square stage by popular demand.

Take a tasting tour around the world with the Festival’s selection of international cuisines, including Nigerian, Indian, Hungarian, Pan-American, Portuguese and Brazilian, and wood-fired pizza, as well as plenty of sweet treats. Mill Hill Markets favourites including African Rose, Budapest Bangers, Momz Kitchen, Silmar’s Taste, and Jen Jen’s Cupcakery will all be back on the Broadway for the Festival. The Festival bar will be offering a selection of refreshing drinks, including beers, wine, cocktails, and soft drinks in the Town Square by the Festival stage.

‘On Broadway’ will also feature the vivid hues of gorgeous hand-made jewellery, quality cosmetics and chic fashion items, health and well-being advice and aloe-based products. Don’t miss a chance to find out about organic produce delivery from Riverford Organic, as well as the the great work being done by charities Dogs Trust and Guide Dogs, and the Woodland Trust.

Stop by the Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum and NW7 Hub stalls for a friendly chat, and find out more about what’s going on in your community.

The ‘On Broadway’ Summer Festival is part of the programme of events known as Mill Hill Markets, an initiative organised by Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum and Vibe Market. The markets aim to increase dwell time and footfall for the town centre, and add vibrancy to the high street.

The calendar for the remainder of 2018 includes the Autumn Market on 21-22 September, the return of the French Market on 2-3 November, and the Christmas Lights Switch On and Festive Market on 30 November – 1 December, as well as the new Saturdays in the Square food and drink market in Mill Hill Town Square on 14 July and 13 October.
