On Friday 15 and Saturday 16 September, Mill Hill town centre will host an Autumn Market welcoming the community back from the summer holidays. The market will run from 11am to 6pm each day and will be located outside Santander bank, continuing up to Mill Hill Wines.
The market will feature a selection of quality stalls, including newcomers Budapest Bangers sausages, Coco & Vanilla cocktails, Lopsie’s Stiches African-print fashion, 24 Carrot vegan food, Momzkitchen Indian snacks, Aloebility Forever aloe health and beauty products, and Yayoi Botanical Essence handmade medicinal herbal products. Regular favourites include Jen Jen’s cupcakery, Gifts by Berni, Riverford Organic, the Woodland Trust, African Rose food, and French cheese and deli foods. Two new food stalls – Brambletye Organic Farm with fruits, vegetables, jams, juice and eggs, and Levain bakery with their signature Sourdough bread, will also both be making their first visits to Mill Hill.
The Mill Hill Autumn Market is part of the programme of events known as Mill Hill Markets, an initiative organised by Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum and Vibe Market. The markets aim to increase dwell time and footfall for the town centre, and add vibrancy to the high street. An exciting calendar of events has already been underway in 2017, with recent visits by the Italia in Piazza Market the France at Home Market, which will visit again on 10-11 November, and the hugely successful ‘On Broadway’ Mill Hill Summer Festival. Planning is underway for another fantastic Christmas Market and Lights Switch-On will take place on 1-2 December, coinciding with Small Business Saturday.
John Gillett, chair of Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum, said: “This is just one of the many initiatives we have for Mill Hill, to improve our Town Centre – do come along and also let us have your ideas for developing Mill Hill. We encourage everyone to also pop into shops across the town centre to say hello.”
Osita Udenson, managing director for Vibe Market, said: “We are looking forward to another great market in Mill Hill this autumn. Join us for great food and drink and shopping – all while supporting your local town centre.”
Three hours of free parking are available on Saturdays and Sundays are free in the ‘pay by phone’ Bunns Lane car park. Many side streets are free to park from 12 noon.
