Cricklewood kicked off the Christmas season with a wonderful Winterfest on Saturday, 23 November.
Located on Yew Grove, Winterfest saw a steady stream of people enjoying the gift market, homemade food, mulled wine, visits to Santa’s grotto, and the festive sounds of St. Michael’s steel band. With a lantern making workshop by Creative Cricklewood, and a children’s lantern procession, the town centre began to light up in the afternoon.
As the day darkened, the laser light show on the walls of the Crown Moran hotel animated the street with Christmas scenes, Poi Passion performed amazing feats with fire, and Monooka sang carols in both her native Romanian and in English.
At 5:30pm Cricklewood’s new, bespoke festive lights, designed by Haberdashery London, and the Christmas tree on the Broadway were turned on to great applause. Happy Holidays!
